Meet Monday Motivator Corey Bloomberg, founder of Corey Paige Designs. This #girlboss is just more living proof that when you do what you love, good things happen. Her love for drawing has translated into a rapidly growing business with tons of original designs for college, camp and more. Check out this Tulane senior’s awesome work @coreypaige_designs. Game Day is coming. Be ready!
How did Corey Paige designs begin?
I always loved to draw. Senior year of high school, I made posters for my friends to hang on their dorm room door at college. The drawing included their name surrounded by a collage of their college logos and other relevant designs. I continued to draw while at college and decided to make a collage of Tulane logos and New Orleans. A friend of my mom’s asked if I could print my college designs onto pillows as graduation gifts, and that’s how it all began. Before I knew it, my doodles were no longer limited to just colleges and universities. The demand for summer camp designs was high, so I began printing on leggings, shirts, bags, and stickers. I recognized the strong potential of my designs and made an Instagram for my business. I then began taking personalized requests. Soon after, Corey Paige Designs, Inc. was born.
What was the first product you ever made?
The first product I ever made was pillows. Leggings came soon after!
What’s new for Corey Paige Designs? What trends do you see that you think are exciting?
I am always coming up with new designs and new products. I just released Card Caddies to stick on the back of your phone, which are a hit. I am working on a website which is coming soon! Also, I collaborate with Malibu Sugar and I am excited to announce that two new CPD designs have been released for the back-to-school season.
What do you see in the future for Corey Paige Designs?
I am hoping to launch a website very soon and therefore will be able to sell via e-commerce. I am going to continue to do custom designs and plan to expand into the bar/bat mitzvah and party favor market.
What’s your favorite game-day outfit?
My favorite game-day outfit is a pair of Corey Paige Designs tailgate leggings with a Tulane shirt and JewelErry baseball hat.
Tell us a little about yourself!
I am going to be a senior at Tulane (the best place in the world). I am an art major and business management minor. I studied abroad in Florence and absolutely loved it. I have two younger brothers and a dog named Marley who I am obsessed with. I love pizza and sushi. Drawing was always a hobby of mine and I honestly never expected it to turn into a business. I couldn’t be happier to be doing what I love.
