Stress — everyone feels it, everyone knows what it’s like, and everyone hates it. But how does one get rid of it? Luckily, there are a couple of tips to incorporate stress prevention into everyone’s daily life. By turning these tips into habits, anyone can find him- or herself living like the Dalai Lama, like an expert of mindful meditation.

    1. Make your bed every morning
Do you ever feel like the clutter in your room is causing clutter in your life? Chances are, it is. There are even studies proving that if you can accomplish a small task, such as making your bed, every morning, it will program you to accomplish bigger tasks as you move through the day. In addition, making your bed will give your room a cleaner and more organized feel, which helps you organize both your things and your thoughts.

  • Dress to impress
Most of the time, feeling fashionable makes you feel confident. When you look your best, you perform your best because you don’t focus on the way you look, since you already know you’re rocking that new blouse and haircut. When you know you look good, you’ll stand taller, speak with more confidence, and totally rule the day. Feeling confident will help relieve you of your stress.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast

As a healthy food blogger, otherwise known as @carolinecooksclean on Instagram, I know a lot about what it mean to start your day off right. The most important factor of having a successful day is to make sure you eat a wholesome, protein- and carbohydrate-filled breakfast. The reason for this is that carbohydrates are the easiest source of fuel for your body to break down, and when you have no fuel, you get stressed a lot quicker. Since you fasted all night while you were sleeping, you need fuel at breakfast that your body can use ASAP, which is where carbohydrates come in. Protein is important in the morning because it keeps you fuller longer and provides a more long-term source of energy. A couple of my favorites are peanut butter, oatmeal, Greek yogurt and overnight oats.
