What exactly is Pandia Health?
We bring birth control to wherever you have internet and a mailbox. We are telemedicine and pharmacy under one roof. We provide a online doctor’s visit for $39 if you need a doctor’s prescription. We deliver your birth control by mail so women don’t have to worry about running out of birth control – Pandia Peace of Mind. No one runs out of prescription birth control on our watch – Pandia Promise.
What inspired you to start Pandia Health?
I was speaking about birth control and unplanned pregnancies and one of the top reasons women don’t take their birth control – they didn’t have a pack on hand. So, my friend and I decided to disrupt the slow, old pharmacy business and provide a reliable, delightful, confidential, convenient way to get your birth control.
Where is Pandia Health offered?
Our full service is available in California only – the doctor’s online visit plus delivery. However, our delivery only option is available in many states: if you ask your doctor to prescribe to our partner pharmacy, we can deliver your medications (FREE delivery) to Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin
What do you believe the advantages of having greater access to birth control are?
Preventing unplanned pregnancy, decreasing stress/worry by women each month of worry about going to the pharmacy and worry about running out of birth control.
Is there anything on the rise for Pandia Health?
We want to educate people that #PeriodsAreOptional or #PeriodsOptional. You can read our blog here, watch our youtube, listen to a podcast
We want to educate people that prescription Emergency contraception (Ella aka ulipristal acetate) works better in general and more importantly for women whose BMI is 26 or greater, the over the counter emergency contraception Plan B and its generics (levonorgestrel) does not work.
How do you spread the word about your company?
Do you have any advice for fellow entrepreneurs?
Get everything in writing. Find a supportive significant other. Help other women.
Do you have a favorite quote or go to saying? 🙂
Covering birth control is fiscally smart and morally right.
Without birth control, few women would’ve graduated college and higher education – you would literally have to be a saint.
If you are a woman having a period, you are choosing to bleed each month. We have technology to turn off your periods. #periodsOptional
Favorite quotes: Madeleine Albright There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.
FDR: The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much it is whether we provide enough for those who have little.
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
I hope that women out there will ask who is the founder of this company? Who is leading this company of the products they are using? And if you have a choice between 2 equal options, support the one run/founded by a woman.
Pandia Health is the ONLY women-founded/led and reproductive health MD founded/led company in the birth control delivery space.
