Today we introduce our newest feature, The Fit List profiling women using their confidence to achieve exceptional things.  Meet Kim Grinhaus:

kimandbillBefore graduating from Union College, Kim interned for President Clinton at the Clinton Foundation and later for US Senator Kristen Gillibrand in the Immigration and Foreign Affairs department.

kim2Despite hearing “Politics is no place for women,” “You only think that because you’re a girl,” and “Why are you interested in the Current State of the Union address? Shouldn’t you be watching the Kardashians?” Kim remained passionate about politics. As a result she is now on her way to work for the Cravath, Swaine & Moore law firm in New York City as a paralegal, with a plan to attend law school.

Kim’s powerful and respectful voice stems from her mother’s wisdom that “there is no reason ever, for your opinions, ideas and arguments to be hushed.” Kim’s passion is evident and electric. Although her interest in politics has led to some challenging moments, she overcame any sense of self doubt continued exploring political issues, developing her opinion and sharing her voice.

Kim Grinhaus, you’re Fit to Lead!
