Woody is an experienced brand-building, wellness focused entrepreneur with a diverse background and track record of success with companies of all sizes, both domestic and international. Prior to embarking on his entrepreneurial path, Woody worked in the financial industry and obtained both undergraduate and graduate business degrees. On the personal side of things, Woody enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle and is a strong supporter of animal and environmental rights.
What exactly is Faucet Face?
Faucet Face is a leading marketer of environmentally friendly water bottles that are both durable and stylishly designed.
What inspired you to start Faucet Face?
I purchased the Company in 2013 from the original owner, Mason Gentry. I was looking to acquire a company in the Health and Wellness category that would benefit from my background and experience that would be both personally and professionally rewarding.
What is the mission behind Faucet Face?
Faucet Face sells reusable, eco-friendly glass and stainless steel water bottles. Our bottles save money, offer superior taste, and best of all, are better for the environment.
You support animal rights, the environment, healthy/active lifestyles and helping others, can you tell us about that?
Sure, these themes align perfectly with my personal beliefs (which I have sought to incorporate after acquiring the business in 2013). Our overarching mission is to help eliminate the use of single use plastic bottles, and consequently, help to offset their adverse environmental impact. Our 1 for 100 program is a substantial charitable initiative which helps to provide access to clean water for those in need. To advance all of our causes, we support events, donate to charities, create themed bottles, and utilize PR and Social Media to help get the word out.
How did you come up with the name?
It was developed by the original owner, it’s fun, whimsical, memorable, and helps to provide a differentiating feature for our company and brand.
Is there a favorite product that everyone loves?
We have sought to create specific designs and themed bottles to support our company values. Hose Water is typically our favorite bottle. Hummingbird is very popular with animal rights advocates.
How do you spread the word about your company?
Do you have any advice for young entrepreneurs?
Do what you love, do not be afraid to take chances, pivot when things aren’t working, and make decisions based on available information. A quick decision is often better than a deliberate one.
