One summer when I was going into my sophomore year of high school my mother made me a deal. She said “I’ll pay you $100 each month if you cook for the whole family twice a week.” Even though I had not really done any major cooking before, I gladly accepted the challenge. I thought to myself, “This is my chance to cook whatever I want. It is my opportunity to attempt to make a ton of nutritious, healthy foods and get my family to eat healthier.” So that is exactly what I did, and now I am going to share with you some of the great, healthy, homemade recipes I discovered during that summer that will make you feel healthier, accomplished, and more confident in your cooking skills.
Most of us who have to get to school or work early know the difficulty of trying to wake up and get ready as well as put some type of food in our stomach so that we aren’t starving all day.
