The barbecue season is officially underway. Yay! Who doesn’t love an amazing hamburger, turkey, veggie or salmon burger right off the grill? But what to put it on?

We really love hamburger buns, especially, those soft, squishy, potato rolls, but, as they say:

which somehow makes “soft and squishy” feel a whole lot less like a ringing endorsement.

If you’re up for trying something different, we’ve got some suggestions. Click the pics for links to recipes and more:

Ezekiel Bread, Tortilla Wraps or Muffins

Ezekiel bread contains no sugar and is made from organic, sprouted whole grains. In addition, Ezekiel bread contains several different types of grains and legumes, making it a more nutritious choice — although, word to the wise, not gluten-free — than sugar-filled, white flour traditional buns.
